The Jelly Beamer wireless switch + receiver works by radio waves with a range of approximately 9 to 10 meters. The transmitter and receiver are each powered by two AA batteries (not included). If the button of the transmitter does not suit the user, it can be operated via another derivative switch (3.5mm female jack).
The SLAT (Switch Latch and Timer) receiver can replace the standard receiver if more functionality is desired. Four modes are available:
Standard mode: single click equivalent to the click of a wired switch
Delayed click per second: after a click the circuit remains closed for the configured time (from 1 to 60 seconds)
Delayed click per minute: after a click, the circuit remains closed for the set time (from 1 to 60 minutes)
Latched mode: one click and the circuit remains closed, another click and the circuit remains open.
Transmitter and receiver are fitted with a rechargeable lithium battery via usb cable (usb adapter/220V socket included).
The entire surface of the transmitter is a "proximity sensor" type contactor. It is activated by any part of the body or object (ex: orthosis) as soon as one approaches it within 10mm.
The receiver can be paired with up to 8 transmitters! It is therefore very interesting for institutions that want several residents/students/patients to be able to control the same effector.
If you're tired of tearing out your cables and are looking for wireless contactors at a relatively affordable price, Pretorian's Simply Works Contactors may be the answer! Rather thin, with a diameter of 125mm or 75mm and a range of 10m, they can be combined with several different receivers:
The Receive 2 Pretorian usb receiver can receive up to 6 Simply Works wireless switches. Mac and Windows compatible.
